Smarties Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built Early Learning Centre that is family-owned and operated, catering for children from 0 to 6 years old.
The centre is located in Peakhurst, providing a fresh and new early childhood service for families in the local area. Smarties Early Learning Centre’s purpose-built facility is fitted with high quality, open-ended resources that facilitates and reflects your children’s natural desire to play and learn.
Each room has its own outdoor play area that provides age appropriate physical experiences, while encouraging all children to explore the natural resources on offer. This environment prioritises the day to day care of your child with their education and development being at the forefront of their daily experiences.
I have over 10 years of industry experience with a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services; and a Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to Five Years). I also have a Diploma in Business Management and a degree in Corporate Sales and Marketing.
I believe that every child is entitled to quality education and care, in a safe and vibrant setting. It is a real privilege, knowing that you can provide a child with the foundations they need to reach for the stars and grasp their full potential.
We always strive to go above and beyond for our families, not only during the enrollment process but throughout the duration and continuity of care within our early education and care setting. There is no greater trust than that of a parent leaving their child in our care. For this and many more reasons, we believe it is important we provide our families with the feeling of security and assurance while developing and maintaining positive relationships with children and their families.
Since opening in early 2019, we have been very fortunate to have long-serving, multicultural team members, who reflect a common belief, philosophy, and our local community. Many of our educators have been with our centre since the very beginning or have joined not long after we opened due to growth.
I believe that a strong team of well-trained educators and leadership is the scaffolding to a well built and successful service.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Smarties family.
I have over 10 years of industry experience with a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s services, as well as a Diploma in Business Management.
As an Educator and a leader, I believe that all children are unique, capable, competent, and involved learners who make a valuable impact to their community. I aim to provide a safe and secure education and care environment that fosters children’s growth and supports all areas of children’s development. I also intend on maintaining a bright and welcoming atmosphere where children and families feel at home, giving them a sense of belonging at our service.
I believe that young children have the right to loving relationships, respect, care, and education, in an environment that is safe and free from discrimination.
My teaching philosophy is strongly grounded on the idea of viewing children as active and capable learners, where I can also learn alongside them, collaborating and becoming co-constructors of learning.
Children should be recognised as individuals with unique ideas, interests, and beliefs. I believe the first five years of a child’s life is so important, and therefore early childhood education settings are a safe and enjoyable place where they can explore and learn to their full potential. With endless opportunities and experiences provided by our early childhood educators, your children can immerse themselves in a learning environment that is stimulating and exciting. Early childhood settings also allow children to build their confidence in their social skills as they interact and build relationships with their peers and educators.
I firmly believe in nurturing your child’s physical, mental, social, environmental, and spiritual needs.
Please do not hesitate to approach me, as I am a firm believer of the open-door policy.
I cannot wait to meet you all!
I have over 10 years of industry experience and hold a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services and am currently studying my Bachelor of Teaching (birth to five years).
I believe, as early childhood educators, we are privileged to take part in a child’s life journey. I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment in which all children can flourish and aim to support and foster children’s holistic learning and development.
I believe children are most inspired when they are provided with a hands-on experience in an environment where they are provided with a space to discover, explore, and experiment.
Children deserve the best start in life, and I am passionate about creating a positive environment where children can embrace challenges, explore, and learn.
The Dalai Lama once said, “when educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts,” and so, to help foster positive relationships our educators create an environment that is warm, safe and welcoming for children and families to form a sense of community and happiness within the service.
Since opening in 2019, I have had the privilege of welcoming all of our families to our Service and continue to invite them to be active participants within all areas of the service. By valuing each families voice and contribution I have developed partnerships with our families and our community which has enabled me to build trust, respect and collaborate for a healthy and active learning environment. This has allowed me to value each families voice and contribution and embed that into our Services daily operations.
I pride myself on building strong and secure connections with families, children, and our community and look forward to welcoming you into our care to be a part of our Smarties family.
I have 10 years of industry experience and hold a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services along with my Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to Five Years).
I believe that we play a vital role in building the strong foundations upon which children can construct their futures. Guided by my core values, I strive to create an environment that fosters equal, fair, and respectful treatment for every child in my care.
I believe in treating all children equally, irrespective of their backgrounds, abilities, or circumstances. By fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment, I aim to create a space where every child feels valued, celebrated, and understood.
I recognise that the most effective form of learning occurs through play and that tailoring activities to children’s interests is essential to their development.
As an educator, my role extends beyond the facilitation of learning. I strive to create a nurturing and safe environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to explore their capabilities. I believe in fostering positive relationships and effective communication with both children and their families, recognising the importance of collaboration between home and school in a child’s educational journey.
