Forming trusting bonds with the children and their family is central to our program in our Nursery. Our aim is to work closely with families to ensure that each child’s needs are met. We develop our daily routine based around children’s needs and development, so feedback and information from our families is important to ensure these routines reflect the best interests and needs of each child.
Children in this room are still exploring and making sense of the world around them. To build on this knowledge, we promote a range of experiences that work on developing children’s sensory, imaginative, physical and cognitive development. with a strong social and language focus to help develop overall learning and independence. Activities such as story time, painting, dancing, and outdoor play on our purpose-built Nursery floor are presented to engage children in a fun and a supportive way.
Information about your child’s day is readily available on our online application so that you can be informed and provide feedback on the quality care and education they receive in our Nursery.

Developing exciting and meaningful experiences to promote independence and autonomy is central to our 2-3 age group. The daily routine is based around the needs of the children and provides adequate time for children to play, explore and simply be in the environment.
Our creative and open-ended resources provide children the opportunity to share, compromise and engage with their peers whilst developing a range of skills and processes. Our focus is forming secure relationships with all children to help build a sense of trust. This helps children feel confident to explore our spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments, knowing that they have a safe relationship to support them when needed.
Self-help skills are actively promoted and encouraged. Children, with the help of adults, are supported to self-feed, go to the toilet by themselves and washing their own hands. We understand that these tasks are often frustrating to learn, so be assured that our supportive educators will be on hand to help where needed.
Songs, chants, rhymes and story-telling are ways that we support children’s developing language. Children naturally pick up language when exposed to a literacy rich environment, so we utilise transition times, quiet times and daily play experiences to develop these skills.
Encouraging curious minds to question, ponder, wonder and explore forms the basis of our Preschool Program. Hands on learning experiences, open ended resources and the children’s ideas and
questions all come together to assist our educators to create a diverse, stimulating and effective early childhood program. Our educators work side by side with the children and listen to their ideas
and interests, extend their thinking and follow up their ideas, thus creating an environment of intrinsically motivated learners. Our biggest asset is time.
We provide large blocks of uninterrupted time for children to work through their ideas, problem solve, question and simply play. We utilise small groups, large groups and one-on-one time, to develop a relationship with the children, thus allowing us to work within their needs.
Our preschool program works on developing skills needed for life. Through play, we help children develop emotional and social skills, as they learn to interact within the play environment. Literacy and language development comes in the form of story-telling, communicating, songs, chants and rhymes.
We utilise transition times and daily play experiences to introduce children to mathematical and scientific concepts, but mostly we develop the children’s love of learning by encouraging children to simply play.
